Hectronic Sales Conference in the Black Forest – Meeting in a Picturesque Landscape above the Titisee
Our traditional Sales Conference took place from 26 to 29 June. Far more than 120 people from appr. 30 countries accepted our invitation to the Black Forest (Lenzkirch-Saig) to seize the opportunity of a professional and personal exchange. The event focussed on digital transformation with the challenge of “two-handed” leadership. It is all about combining the strengths of the core business with the new technological opportunities in order to secure the long-term success of the company. An important topic especially for medium-sized companies like Hectronic – and already successfully underway.
With an interesting mix of lectures and workshops the participants were informed about opportunities, developments and customer projects. Numerous great speakers could be welcomed. These included representatives of the “smartlab Innovationsgesellschaft” and the “UNITI Bundesverband” demonstrating future-oriented solutions in the field of alternative energies or of “FEIG ELECTRONIC” speaking about “Innovations in the area of card payment”. The lectures on successfully implemented projects met with particularly great interest. Partner Hamer from Belgium explained step by step how they met the challenge to equip the biggest container terminal at the port of Antwerp with an intelligent fuelling system. The trading and service group BayWa proudly presented how the HecFuel app made it possible to establish a completely digitized customer process right at the petrol station. Furthermore, a wide range of recently realised parking space solutions in Stockholm, Brussels and Interlaken demonstrated how digitized solutions increase the efficiency for operators and consumers.
The workshop also focussed on future-oriented digital solutions which do not only provide users with substantial added value but can also be combined with existing hardware products for optimum usage. The participants enjoyed the professional exchange at a high level which resulted in a great amount of feedback and suggestions. This knowledge will be used for further development processes.
The conference was embedded in a varied framework programme. One highlight was certainly the business talk with ski jumping Olympic champion Sven Hannawald who spoke about his life as a top athlete. Success and fall, burnout, ways back into life and much more. During the following guided tour of the ski jumping hill in Hinterzarten the talk could be experienced “live”. Under the motto “Black Forest meets the world” the packed conference days were brought to a close during a joint dinner. Furthermore, excellent projects and performances of our partners were rewarded during a special ceremony. It has been a long tradition to honor the “Partner of the Year” at the Sales Conference. In the field of Parking the company Modul System from Sweden was able to claim the cup. Liquid Automation Systems from South-Africa proudly received the award in the area of Refuelling / Sensor Systems. Our managing director Stefan Forster congratulated and thanked for the successful and good cooperation.
An excursion to the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, marked the successful end of the event. After an impressive boat cruise with “spaghetti talk” it was time to say goodbye.
We are looking back on a very positive and successful event we will be happy to remember for a long time, and we are already looking forward to the next conference!
