New Payment Group for the future

Digitisation and networking of the systems characterise the fourth industrial revolution. Products, work processes and communication are changed sustainably. It is inevitable for companies to react to this development. Hectronic is one step ahead. The company has been addressing the topic of industrial change for a long time now. In order to play an active role in shaping the future development, a new team has now started its work with the “Payment Group”. It consists of six specialists dedicated to future-oriented topics in the areas of parking and refuelling. Synergies from the two business units are deliberately used. The team is headed by Christian Kuppel, who joined the company on January 01, 2018. Mr. Kuppel was most recently employed as Head of the Technical and Communications Department and therefore has the best knowledge to support and drive us forward optimally.

I am very happy at Hectronic and am delighted to be able to contribute to the expansion of the company’s success with my team,” says Christian Kuppel, Head of Payment Group. (See image)

A wide range of projects are currently being managed by the Payment Group. Among them is the HecFuel App, which offers the possibility to authorise refuelling quickly and flexibly. A market innovation that can already boast concrete successes. Several petrol station operators are already relying on this innovative and very user-friendly mobile authorisation device. The Payment Group will build on this success and further expand the solution. Additionally, payment systems from the parking and refuelling areas are also part of the tasks. With FleetNet, for example, Hectronic enables highly efficient and secure processing of fleet cards. In addition, the team around Mr. Kuppel is working on camera-based systems for parking space monitoring within the CityLine management software. The aim is to offer cities and municipalities as well as private car park operators the opportunity to use available resources even more efficiently. The system provides real-time information on parking space occupancy and allows predictions to be made about parking space utilisation. The solution will be presented at our booth at the Intertraffic in Amsterdam – so it’s worth a visit!
